The Philadelphia Eagles had an impressive Week 1 outing, which saw them secure a 34-29 win over the Green Bay Packers.

They are looking to keep the positive momentum going on Monday Night Football when the Eagles host the Atlanta Falcons. Even though they came out with a win, the Eagles are still making moves on the team.

On Wednesday, the Eagles parted ways with a veteran after he re-joined the team last month.

Eagles News: Jack Stoll Was Released on Wednesday

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Eagles released tight end Jack Stoll from the practice squad after they signed safety Caden Sterns.

Stoll was released by the New York Giants in late August, and he joined the Eagles' practice squad on Aug. 28. The Nebraska product signed with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

In 50 career games with the Eagles, Stoll logged 20 receptions (27 targets) for 183 yards and 9.2 yards per reception. He was mostly used as a blocker during his tenure in Philly but now he's been released.

Prior to the Week 1 contest, the Eagles elevated tight end EJ Jenkins to the active roster. Philadelphia now has Grant Calcaterra, Dallas Goedert, and Jenkins on the roster, spelling the end of Stoll.

They decided to use his roster spot for more help in the backend with Sterns. He joined the Eagles on Aug. 11 but was unable to practice due to a knee injury. Now he gets a second chance to impress the staff and get elevated to the active roster.
