Eagles’ Asking Price for Haason Reddick Trade Potentially Revealed
By Cem Yolbulan
Before the start of free agency, the Philadelphia Eagles granted permission to Haason Reddick to explore trades after he expressed a desire for a contract extension. So far, there hasn't been much progress on that front but it's safe to say that the Pro Bowl pass rusher is likely not going to be in Philadelphia to start next season.
However, it will take a massive offer for the Eagles to move the 29-year-old, according to Jake Rabadi of the Liberty Line.
Eagles Seek A Massive Trade Offer for Haason Reddick
Reportedly, Philadelphia is seeking at least a second-round pick and is adamant about the price tag. This is probably why we haven't heard much about a potential trade so far since this is quite a lofty expectation by the Eagles.
Reddick just finished his fourth straight double-digit sack season. He has been remarkably healthy his entire career. Any team would be fortunate to bring him on as a game-changing edge rusher.
However, he is also turning 30 and will likely require over $20 million annual salary in a multi-year deal. Plus, the Eagles don't really have leverage in these negotiations as teams know Reddick wants out and Philadelphia already has Josh Sweat and Bryce Huff in the fold.
This is most likely a negotiating tactic by the Eagles, but it's worth remembering that in situations like this, all it takes is one team willing to pay the price.
