The Philadelphia Eagles were one of those improved teams in the NFL this offseason. After a terrible ending to 2023 that saw the Eagles lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

That led to general manager Howie Roseman being assertive in adding talent to both sides of the ball. He added difference makers in both free agency and the NFL Draft.

In the first two rounds of April's draft, the Eagles took corners Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean.

Now that the dust has selected on those picks, it was revealed that DeJean was pranked badly during draft weekend.

NFL News: Cooper DeJean Got Prank Call

In a video that was posted by G.O.A.T. Farm Sports, DeJean gets a phone call and believes it was someone from the Packers.

At the beginning of the call, DeJean said, "I appreciate you," then realized that something was off. He ultimately hung up after noticing it was a fake call.

"Some dude said he was with the Green Bay Packers," DeJean said after the call. The former Iowa product didn't let that bother him and laughed off the prank.

Even though the Packers didn't take DeJean at No. 25 overall, he was nabbed at No. 40 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles at the start of the second round.

Things always happen for a reason and now the 21-year-old is an Eagle. What's funnier is that the Packers and Eagles square off in Week 1 down in Brazil.

DeJean has been sidelined throughout training camp with a hamstring injury but there is still time for him to rehab and be ready for Week 1.

If he's able to get out there, his first NFL action could come against the team that reportedly was going to take him according to the prank call.
