There is no one in the world who knows the Philadelphia Eagles organization better than Brandon Graham. So, when he speaks to something about the coaching staff, front office, or the players, you listen.

Graham is entering his 15th season with the Eagles. He already holds the all-time record for most games played as an Eagle. Contrary to expectations, the 36-year-old defensive end has decided to come back for another year.

It sounds like one of the main reasons Graham decided to return to Philadelphia may be the changes in the coaching staff. The former Pro Bowler addressed the epic collapse the Eagles suffered in the second half of last season and blamed it on the coaches. Now, he seems excited that a new staff is in place under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

"We didn’t have all the right coaches in the right position, I would say. You know, you can just see the guys just truly believing in what’s going on. I’m excited for the young guys who just came in, new rookies coming in — they’re really going to get a good shot and good taste of what it is to be in the NFL."

Graham didn't name specific coaches from last year but highlighted the job new defensive line coach Clint Hurtt has done so far. Hurtt replaced Tracy Rocker this past winter and has the title of senior defensive assistant under Fangio, with whom he worked in Chicago.

The veteran defender underlined the importance of communication. Graham said that they lacked on that front last season, which he claims came up in a big way in the playoff loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Graham is now happy that they are all on the same page.

The Eagles defense was a complete disaster last season. They had hired Sean Desai in the offseason but had to demote him to promote Matt Patricia. Now, both of those names are gone and one of the most respected defensive minds in the NFL, Vic Fangio is in charge. It sounds like Brandon Graham couldn't be happier.
