Brandon Graham Accuses Eagles Front Office of Weakness
By Joe Summers
The Eagles are in a rough patch, to say the least, following a shocking loss to the Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Defensive leader Brandon Graham isn't happy with recent actions by Philly's front office, calling out the team for allowing outside opinions to influence decisions.
Following the choice to change defensive play-callers last week, Graham's opinion raises questions about the Eagles' long-term direction.
Eagles' Star Brandon Graham Questions Front Office
It's fair to question the direction of Philly's defense, given the team ranks 26th in opponent points per game (24.4). Approaching the postseason, quick improvements need to be made.
But Graham asserts that the change wasn't one made based on how sound it was as a football decision. He doesn't necessarily believe that Sirianni and the front office thought the Desai-Patricia move was made because it was the best thing for the team.
Graham asserts that the front office caved to media pressure as the reason to make the move instead.
Graham is in his 14th season in Philadelphia, compiling 463 tackles and 73 sacks to this point in an illustrious career. He's one of the loudest and most trusted voices in the locker room, so you can bet there's uncertainty throughout the roster if Graham is speaking out.
Through one week with Patricia on the green dot, the Eagles gave up a game-losing drive to Drew Lock and the Seahawks. It wasn't a promising start, no matter how optimistic you'd like to be.
