Training camp is coming to an end quickly for the Philadelphia Eagles. After changing Thursday's session to a walkthrough, Wednesday is the last official warmup practice for the team before the preseason finale, providing one more chance for players on the roster bubble to show off their talents.

Unfortunately, several such hopefuls were on the laundry list of guys forced to miss Wednesday's session due to injury.

In total, nine Philadelphia players were sidelined for the final camp practice because of injury: Dallas Goedert (oblique), Matt Hennessy (back), Jalyx Hunt (oblique), Trevor Keegan (hip), Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen), John Ross (concussion), Tyler Steen (ankle), Caden Sterns (knee) and Johnny Wilson (concussion).

Goedert is obviously the biggest name here, and also the biggest concern considering his importance to Philly's offense. His surprise inclusion on the injury report after being a full participant throughout the summer prompts worries, but it's possible Philadelphia is just continuing to be extremely cautious with its starters.

Meanwhile, possible cut candidates like Hennessy, Okwuegbunam and Ross being out certainly doesn't help any of their bids to remain with the team past the preseason. The same goes for Hunt and Sterns, the latter of whom is a new arrival still trying to prove his worth to the Eagles.

The injuries to Steen and Wilson are also playing a big role in how two key position battles may shake out for Week 1. The former's absence has cleared the way Mekhi Becton to stake his claim for the starting right guard spot, while the latter has lost some ground after being the frontrunner for the WR3 job earlier in camp.

These health issues will open up major opportunities for guys at the affected positions in the preseason finale if most of these players can't suit up.
