5. Will Grier, Quarterback

The Eagles have their top two quarterback spots locked up with Jalen Hurts and Kenny Pickett. Hurts has been the leader for several seasons and nearly brought home the title as the starter after the 2022 season. He even signed a massive five-year, $255 million contract extension last offseason.

Pickett was a Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick in 2022 out of Pitt and while he led them to a 14-10 record, his numbers were far from impressive. He was set to lose his job as well once they landed Russell Wilson, which led to his demand to be traded. The Eagles brought him in and he should be a solid addition as the backup.

From there, there will be competition for the No. 3 spot between Tanner McKee and Will Grier. McKee has the upper hand since he was a sixth-round pick in 2023 and spent the entire season on the Eagles' roster. Grier, on the other hand, spent time with three different teams (the Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots).

A third-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2019, Grier had no touchdowns and four picks in two appearances and hasn't been on the field for a regular season game since. He has put up some impressive performances in the preseason, including in 2022 with the Dallas Cowboys.

This could be his final chance to make a team after he bounced around in 2023, so it's important he brings his A-game in this QB3 battle.
