The Philadelphia Eagles can't stop adding quarterbacks to their roster.

After pulling off the surprising trade to bring in Kenny Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Eagles are now signing former Dallas Cowboy Will Grier, according to Adam Schefter. Grier will be the fourth signal-caller in the quarterback room behind Jalen Hurts, Pickett, and Tanner McKee.

Eagles News: Philadelphia Signs QB Will Grier

The former third-round pick out of West Virginia spent the first two seasons of his career with the Carolina Panthers. He then joined forces with the new Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore with the Dallas Cowboys, later following him to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Despite being in plenty of NFL clubhouses, the 28-year-old has only played in two games, as a rookie in Carolina. He was a third-string quarterback in multiple spots, never quite securing a QB2 role in his previous destinations.

When Dallas traded for Trey Lance, Grier's days there were numbered. He eventually got cut and has been trying to find his way onto a final roster.

He will have a tough challenge ahead of him in the deep quarterback rotation in Philadelphia. McKee had a strong rookie training camp and has the inside track to be the third-string QB to begin the season.

Pickett will almost certainly begin the year as the primary backup to Hurts but whether Kellen Moore favorite Grier makes a case for himself remains to be seen.

The Eagles will be trying to take the NFC East crown back from the Cowboys next season. On FanDuel Sportsbook, they currently have +135 odds to do so.
