2. Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

There are conflicting reports surrounding Haason Reddick, who has been the top pass rusher for the Eagles over the past two seasons. He recorded 17 sacks in 2022 and followed that up with 11 this past season.

Once the year was done, there were reports that he wanted to be traded and that the Eagles permitted him to seek a partner. Not long after that, Reddick responded by saying he never asked for a trade. He did add that he's ready for whatever happens and understands “it's a business.” In the end, it seems this all comes down to a desire for a new deal.

If the Eagles don't expect Reddick to be around beyond 2024 — or if they do plan on trading him before the season — then they're going to need another pass rusher. One option would be Jared Verse from Florida State.

Verse had 18 sacks and 29.5 tackles for a loss over the past two years for FSU. At 6-4 and 250, Verse has the size to play on the edge for Philly and can hold up against the run in addition to his prowess as a pass rusher. Pairing him with Nolan Smith could wind up being enough for the Eagles to feel good about the position for the foreseeable future.
