With former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai heading to the Los Angeles Rams in a senior defensive role, there’s a chance that some players could join him in Los Angeles next season.

The Eagles’ defense started on fire through the first few weeks of the 2023 season. However, that spark eventually disappeared as Philadelphia’s defense got picked apart by opposing quarterbacks.

That being said, the Rams have a good amount of cap space to work with this offseason and could look to add a few Eagles to their defense, which made strides last season but is always looking to add some depth.

Below, we’ll discuss three Eagles players who could join their former defensive coordinator in the City of Angels this upcoming season.

1. Nicholas Morrow

The 28-year-old Morrow had his issues in pass coverage this past season with the Eagles, but played with a high motor and could be a solid rotational piece for a Rams’ linebacker unit that leaves a lot to be desired after Ernest Jones IV and Byron Young.

This past season with the Eagles, Morrow posted 95 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, five pass deflections, five quarterback hits, and three sacks. The veteran linebacker was all over the field for Philadelphia, starting in 12 out of 15 games in 2023.

As previously mentioned, Morrow had his share of struggles in pass coverage, allowing three receiving touchdowns and a career-high 104.6 pass rating allowed when targeted. However, the veteran linebacker also had a career-best 65.5 completion percentage allowed on targets.

Morrow has proven to be a valuable depth linebacker over the past three years and is worth taking a one-year flier on. If Morrow were to go to LA, he would be a slight upgrade over Christian Rozeboom, who is a restricted free agent this offseason.
