We all knew when the Philadelphia Eagles fired offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and defensive coordinator Sean Desai, it was just the beginning. Their 1-5 finish and subsequent playoff loss meant they were going to be making some big changes and that would go beyond hiring Kellen Moore and Vic Fangio.

On Friday, we saw one of those changes take place as the Eagles said goodbye to Kevin Byard — the safety they added in a deadline trade this past season.

As was the case with their coaching staff, this could very well just be the first step. The Eagles will continue to evaluate their roster and that means these three players are likely on the chopping block.

3. James Bradberry, CB

By now, everyone who follows this team knows that James Bradberry had a disastrous campaign in 2023. Even teams that played against the Eagles know he wasn't the player he once was.

Perhaps that had to do with the scheme Sean Desai was running. Then again, he also didn't do much better when Matt Patricia took over. Bradberry even had what was arguably his worst game of the season — their Monday Night Football loss to Seattle — with Patricia calling plays.

Even so, the Eagles will try and see if Vic Fangio believes he can salvage the veteran cornerback. Perhaps he will try — and we've all seen Bradberry perform at a high level. Surely, they'll want this outcome since they gain nothing more than a roster spot and some dead money by cutting him. Either way, he's on notice as they're looking to move on from underperforming veterans.
