3. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE

Even though Albert Okwuegbunam plays a different position than Dotson, the Eagles pulling off a splashy trade like this sends a clear message: they're not going to settle with their pass-catching options entering Week 1. This kind of aggressive move puts any lackluster weapon on the hot seat, since it's clear Philly will do what it needs to upgrade where there's a big need.

That is bad news for Okwuegbunam, who's failed to make a good impression on the field since arriving in Philadelphia.

A trade brought the former fourth-round pick to the Eagles last offseason, though his lack of usage prompted questions from fans about how much value he really offers the team. After all, he appeared sparingly in four games, and recorded just a single target despite starting TE Dallas Goedert missing three contests.

Philadelphia's tight end play has only gotten better this preseason as well, with Grant Calcaterra emerging as the undoubted TE2 and E.J. Jenkins proving himself to be a legit TE3. Okwuegbunam simply hasn't flashed as much talent as Jenkins, and now he's been sidelined by an abdomen injury, costing him valuable reps heading into the last warmup tilt.

While the Eagles were smart to take a flyer on the once-hyped tight end prospect, it seems he can't provide what this offense needs, so there's no reason to waste another year with him taking up precious 53-man roster space.
