The Philadelphia Eagles have their sights set on the NFC East title this season after letting it slip through their grasp in 2023. They made some significant changes to ensure they have the best chance of making that happen.

Philly let both coordinators go and brought in Kellen Moore on offense and Vic Fangio on defense. They also made a splash in free agency with the addition of running back Saquon Barkley from the New York Giants and pass-rusher Bryce Huff from the New York Jets.

Throw in a strong draft class and they feel like the favorites heading into training camp. With all the added talent, here's a look at three players suddenly on the roster bubble.

3. Grant Calcaterra, Tight End

Grant Calcaterra had to overcome adversity just to make it in the NFL. He played for three years at Oklahoma before retiring from football in 2020 due to concussions. He returned in 2021 to play for SMU and had his best campaign with 38 receptions for 465 yards and four touchdowns.

Philadelphia selected him in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and hoped he could be a threat as a pass-catching tight end. As he enters his third season in the league, he has just nine receptions for 120 yards and no touchdown.

The Eagles added C.J. Uzomah in the offseason and picked up McCallan Castles from Tennessee as an undrafted free agent. With Albert Okwuegbunam on the roster as well, it won't be easy for Calcaterra to make the team this season, unless he starts to show some of the promise he displayed at SMU.
