The Philadelphia Eagles did what they tend to always do during the NFL Draft and made out. They went hard after their biggest weakness as they landed Quinyon Mitchell in Round 1 and then traded up for Cooper DeJean in Round 2. Adding two new cornerbacks (both of whom should have been Round 1 selections) will do wonders for their struggling pass defense.

Philly added more talent throughout the event as they were actively moving up and down the draft board, while also adding more capital in 2025.

Once the draft concluded, they got to work adding undrafted free agents. Teams can often find hidden gems this way and the Eagles have a few who could make their 53-man roster.

3. Kendall Milton, RB, Georgia

It’s rather surprising that Kendall Milton didn’t get drafted considering how strong he finished out the 2023 season. A workhorse back at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, Milton was never asked to carry the full load due to the talent around him. In the end that might have hurt his stock since he’s a player who gets better the more he touches the ball.

Milton averaged 6.5 yards per rush in 2023 as he racked up 790 yards and 14 touchdowns. He didn’t offer much in the way of pass-catching and his testing at the NFL Combine didn’t wow anyone. That shouldn’t be a surprise since he’s someone who is best served running between the tackles and will be an option as a short-yardage back.

The Eagles have Saquon Barkley and Kenneth Gainwell in the mix and added Will Shipley from Clemson in the draft. That means Milton has a long way to go in order to win a spot but he has a niche and that will help.
