3 Eagles Most Likely to Be Traded This Offseason
By Randy Gurzi
1. A.J. Brown, Wide Receiver
Early in the 2023 season, A.J. Brown was on an absolute tear. He had six games in a row with at least 125 yards receiving and seemed downright unstoppable. Then, it was as if he hit a wall.
Brown had 66 yards in a win against Dallas to end his streak then followed that up with eight yards against the Kansas City Chiefs and 37 against the Buffalo Bills. He ended up with a 100-yard outing just one more time, which was on Dec. 3 against the San Francisco 49ers, and failed to score a touchdown in his final six games.
Making matters worse were rumors of a disconnect between him and the coaching staff. That progressed into rumors that he could be on the market this offseason, although that was recently shot down by an anonymous source who says there's no way Brown will be traded.
"We’re not trading A.J. Brown. We haven’t looked into it, we haven’t discussed it. We are not trading him. You can print that.” — Eagles source according to Benjamin Albright
So that should put the rumors to bed, right? Not exactly.
We all have seen time and again where teams say they won't trade a player only for that to happen down the road. Now, the Eagles might have no intention of shipping off Brown right now — nor should they. But if he gets to camp and is still unhappy with the offense, things could change in a hurry.
