Panthers Star Defender Trash Talks Eagles Fans Ahead of Week 14 Tilt
The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the top teams in the league in 2024. Philadelphia is 10-2 on the campaign and has won eight games in a row.
They are seeking to keep the win streak going as they host the Carolina Panthers in Week 14. As both teams have dove deep into preparation for the NFC showdown, a Panthers defender took a shot at the Eagles fanbase.
Eagles News: Jadeveon Clowney Discusses Philly Fans
Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was speaking with team reporters on Friday and was asked about Eagles fans before rolling into Lincoln Financial Field.
"I know they love they fans but I'm sure teams don't love their fans. We can't stand their fans. Philly fans love they team. They throw stuff at you. They talk the most junk out of anybody."
- Jadeveon Clowney
Clowney was then asked if this was a game where he'd leave his family at home. He quickly responded, saying, "Oh yeah for sure. And it's cold up there."
Eagles fans have developed a reputation for being one of the most rowdy and passionate fanbases in the league. Opposing players know when they step field in there, expect to hear a flurry of boos. And that's on the nice end.
They will even call out their own team if they don't produce. Earlier this season, cornerback Darius Slay apologized to the fans after he was caught tweeting his personal stats following a bad performance in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Philly fans will be ready to rock on Sunday and Clowney may end up being on the tail end of some trash talk.
