The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday in a must-win game. After losing last week, the Eagles need to win in Weeks 17 & 18 and get some help to earn the No.1 seed. Unfortunately, the Eagles sustained injuries to both Jalen Hurts (concussion) and Kenny Pickett (ribs) in their loss to the Washington Commanders, leaving who their starting quarterback will be this week up in the air.

On Wednesday's projected injury report, Hurts was listed as "did not practice", and Pickett was listed as limited. Although that injury report was just a projection, their status on Sunday remains in doubt. During his Thursday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni was asked if he is unsure of who the QB will be on Sunday or if he is just not saying anything for competitive reasons. Sirianni said, "a little bit of both," according to Eagles insider Eliot Shorr-Parks.

Eagles News: Nick Sirianni Won't Commit to QB1 for Sunday

While Sirianni's response isn't what fans want to hear, it's the correct answer. It's likely too early in the week to completely rule out Pickett or Hurts. However, Hurts's likelihood of playing is much lower since he had a concussion.

Likewise, committing to a third or fourth-string quarterback this early in the week would give the Cowboys an advantage. Facing a third or fourth-string quarterback is a huge advantage anyway, but giving a defensive coordinator the heads-up would only make things worse.

These two teams last met in Week 10, with the Eagles coming out on top 34-6. If both Hurts and Pickett don't play, the outcome this week could be significantly different. On the other hand, with how bad the Cowboys' defense has been for the majority of the season, the Eagles' offensive talent could still prevail.

Nevertheless, the Eagles quarterback situation this week will certainly be the biggest story to keep an on this week.
