Jason Kelce Pleads With Andy Reid for Coaching Job
Eagles fans are patiently waiting for Super Bowl LIX to kick off on Feb. 9. They are seeking to get revenge on a Kansas City Chiefs team that beat them two years ago.
This time around, Philadelphia won't have All-Pro center Jason Kelce in the middle. Instead, they are hoping that Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson are ready to roll after they missed Friday's practice.
Regardless, the Eagles are getting ready for the toughest game of the season. Since both teams have this week off, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was a guest on "The Herd" hosted by Colin Cowherd. During his appearance there, he expressed that tight end Travis Kelce would be a good football coach.
Reid said, "Travis would be a heck of a football coach." Shortly after, Jason went on X and expressed his willingness to join Reid's coaching staff if the opportunity presented itself.
He wrote, "If he needs an Oline coach I’m available…"
Jason Kelce Opening To Joining Kansas City Chiefs Coaching Staff
Granted, Jason played under Reid for two seasons before he was fired by the organization. The 66-year-old played a role in bringing the Cincinnati product over to Philadelphia. That could be a reason that he would be open to joining KC.
Secondly, his brother has produced an elite level under Reid. The future Hall-of-Fame coach is certainly spoken about highly by the Kelce brothers.
Despite having some history with Reid, Eagles fans won't be thrilled to see Kelce speak positively about the coach they are trying to take down.
Who knows if Kelce actually wants to get into coaching or he's just trolling. Regardless, this isn't the type of context that Philly wants to see a week before the Super Bowl.
