The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Despite all the talent that's on the roster, the Eagles have been underwhelming to start the year.

The Eagles lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-16 in Week 4 and rolled into their bye week with no momentum. The off week gave Philadelphia time to reevaluate things and quarterback Jalen Hurts gave a vote of confidence to head coach Nick Sirianni.

Eagles News: Jalen Hurts Has Faith in Nick Sirianni

Hurts spoke with team reporters on Wednesday and expressed the bye week gave him and Sirianni time to get together. The 26-year-old said the bye gave him and his coach time t, "talk through some things", and they had some "great moments".

Hurts added they were able to "come together in harmony" and restated that he has faith in his coach.

There has been a lot of chatter that these two guys aren't on the same page but Hurts wants to shut down that narrative. As a leader on this team, that's the right approach. Hurts is the quarterback of this team and his words hold weight.

Although he's said all the right things, talk is cheap. Sirianni's seat gets warmer and warmer with each lackluster performance. This bye week gave them time to make some adjustments and come out guns blazing in Week 6.

On Sunday, they host the Cleveland Browns and have opened up as massive 9.5-point favorites according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The pressure is on the Birds to get a win and improve to 3-2. Hopefully, Hurts and Sirianni are on the same wavelength as they look to get the offense back on track. If not, there could be a new coach taking over in Philadelphia sooner rather than later.
