The Philadelphia Eagles are ready to keep the ball rolling in 2025 after winning Super Bowl 59 over the Kansas City Chiefs.
They've used free agency and the NFL draft to supplement the roster. This group will use the next couple of months to prepare for the upcoming season and already knows who they are slated to play in Week 1.
The league announced that the Eagles are hosting the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 to start the 2025 season. And this is the perfect opponent for Philadelphia, as Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones will be forced to see the Eagles' championship banner get revealed.

Eagles Slated to Host Cowboys to Week 1
That's something that is sweet for any Eagles fan. The Cowboys are their biggest rival, and every year, their fans believe they are going to win the Super Bowl. That hasn't been the case since 1995. Meanwhile, the Eagles have secured two titles in the last eight years.
1995 was also the last time the Cowboys made it to the NFC Conference Championship Game. It's been a LONG 30 years for Dallas, and they still aren't the best team in the division. That's the Eagles, who are stacked on both sides of the ball.
Philadelphia swept the season series in 2024, including a 41-7 victory at Lincoln Financial Field on Dec. 29.
The juices are going to be flowing on September 4, and the vibes are going to be sky high. The season is back, and getting a chance to start the off 1-0 with a division record is huge.
Jones is one of the outspoken owners in the NFL, and that rubs people the wrong way. He will never get love from Philly fans. Last season, Eagles fans were seen trolling Jones as he sat in the press box.

That energy from the Birds fans won't stop. It might actually be worse, as fans will love to see the look on Jones' face when he sees that championship banner get hung up.
