We have a new update in the ongoing Haason Reddick saga that will surely make New York Jets fans happy after the team traded for him in the offseason from the Philadelphia Eagles.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Jets have given the former Eagles pass rusher and his reps a short window to seek a trade. Russini adds that his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has contacted various teams over the last 12 hours to gauge interest.

On Monday, it was reported that Reddick had hired Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha as his new agents after CAA parted ways with the former Eagles EDGE rusher late last week. Rosenhaus would then meet with the Jets before their primetime matchup against the Buffalo Bills to begin ending the holdout.

That said, Reddick and his new reps want to try one last-ditch effort to see if any team will trade for him before next month’s deadline. Luckily enough for the former Eagles star pass rusher, the Detroit Lions lost star EDGE Aidan Hutchison to a season-ending injury on Sunday, which could be a possible landing spot for Reddick.

However, for a trade to happen with Detroit or any other team, the Jets’ front office would have to agree to it, which might not be easy given that Reddick hasn’t played a single snap since last season in the NFL playoffs with the Eagles.

With this latest news coming out of New York, the Eagles might’ve made the right decision with Reddick, who might not be with the Jets for much longer.
