Former Eagles Star Could Finally Make His 2024 Season Debut Soon
By Jovan Alford
Former Philadelphia Eagles star pass rusher Haason Reddick could be on the verge of making his regular season debut with the New York Jets. Reddick hasn’t played a single snap with the Jets this season as he’s still holding out for a new contract.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Reddick has reportedly hired Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha as his new agents. Rapoport adds that Rosenhaus says he will meet with the Jets before tonight’s primetime matchup to begin the process of ending the holdout.
The former Eagles pass rusher has been in the news lately. On Thursday, it was reported that CAA parted ways with Reddick. But before that happened, Jets owner Woody Johnson made a desperate plea on Tuesday to get Reddick back in the building, as this holdout has gone longer than anyone expected.
That said, if a player hires super agent Drew Rosenhaus, they want to get a deal done. It will be interesting to see what type of deal Reddick’s new agents and the Jets can make happen, as he hasn’t played a single regular season snap and wasn’t at training camp.
Even though he’s likely been working out to stay in game shape, it’s a different story when you have to walk out on that field. The Jets hope that when Reddick does return to the field, he can provide a spark off the edge as he did with the Eagles.
Speaking of the Eagles, Philly fans will be watching to see what type of deal Reddick will get as that was the big issue this offseason before he was traded.
