The Philadelphia Eagles will report to training camp in the coming weeks but there are former players still looking for a job as the 2025 season approaches. While a job may be hard to find with teams wanting to find out what they have in camp, it’s just as tough in the world of broadcasting.
Networks are shuffling their lineups like Nick Sirianni with a depth chart in an attempt to find something that can resonate with fans. While social media and podcasts have played a big role in creating content, it puts current analysts and personalities on notice as they prepare for the upcoming season.
It’s left a former Eagles quarterback sacked as 2025 approaches and his dismissal came as a surprising move that begs the question of what’s next.
Former Eagles QB Chase Daniel Loses Job at FS1
Former Eagles quarterback Chase Daniel was amid several on-air talent and personalities that were fired this week as FS1 reshapes its programming for the upcoming season. Daniel was an analyst on “The Facility” with former NFL players Emmanuel Acho, James Jones and LeSean McCoy, but the decision was made to cancel the show after less than a year of its debut.
“I can’t say thank you enough to FOX and all these people that made the last year possible,” Daniel said in a video posted to his X account. “It was an abrupt ending, but it was such a great time.”

Daniel was a 13-year NFL veteran and spent the 2016 season with the Eagles, appearing in one game and completing a 16-yard pass. Daniel was a backup signal caller for the majority of his career, appearing in 74 career games but starting five of them while completing 68.1% of his passes for 1,746 yards, nine touchdowns and seven interceptions.
That experience helped Daniel transition to the broadcasting booth after his retirement in 2023. He’s appeared on NFL Network as an analyst and has also gotten involved in podcasting as a co-host to Dianna Russini on The Athletic’s “Scoop City” podcast and hosting his own podcast with former ESPN personality Trey Wingo titled “Chasin’ It with Chase & Trey Wingo.”
While Daniel’s time at FS1 was short, he has ideas for his future including posting analytical content on his YouTube channel, diving more into college football and potentially calling games after doing two UFL broadcasts this past season.
“I was able to really gather a lot of information, a lot of stories,” Daniel said. “I think for me, it’s just getting back to being more analytical, teaching the game, breaking down quarterbacks, understanding what teams have to do to win, having more conversations with coaches and players and I have made so many great relationships throughout the years. …There are so many things that we’re going to do this year and we’re going to attack it, man.”
Daniel has gotten his foot into the door in the world of broadcasting and has several options moving forward. But like several former Eagles, he’s just looking for an opportunity before next season begins.
