Teams around the league have been making a flurry of moves over the past two months. With the NFL draft in the rearview mirror, teams have taken another look at their rosters once again. On Tuesday, there was some big WR news. It started when the Pittsburgh Steelers traded WR George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.

It didn't stop there, as the Jacksonville Jaguars released WR Gabe Davis after just one season with the team. It was just a year ago when Jacksonville gave Davis a three-year, $39 million deal in free agency.

Gabe Davis Gets Released by Jaguars

Jacksonville decided to take a $20 million dead cap hit to part ways with Davis and plan to move forward with the trio of Brian Thomas Jr., Travis Hunter, and Dyami Brown.

The Eagles are known for being aggressive, and they have the opportunity to add Davis to their receiving core. And Danny Gray is someone who should look over his shoulder. Philadelphia added him on a reserve/future contract in February.

He was a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers but he was never able to make an impact. Throughout his career there, he only managed to secure one catch for 10 yards. Gray was constantly on IR and eventually was waived.

Philadelphia could also do the same and add Davis to replace him, which could be a gut-punching blow. The 26-year-old was a fourth-round pick by the Buffalo Bills and has put up solid numbers throughout his career. Davis has logged 183 catches for 2,969 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns. The UCF product has gone over 500 receiving yards and six touchdowns in four seasons.

He likely won't ask for a ton of money on the open market and would be a nice addition to an already talented Eagles offense. Whether or not this is a real possibility will be something worth watching out for.
