The Philadelphia Eagles saw Christian Parker leave town to become the Dallas Cowboys' defensive coordinator. While that was a loss on the sideline, in the meeting room, and in the building, the Eagles also allowed cornerback Adoree' Jackson to hit free agency.

After spending one year with the team, the Eagles decided they wanted to go in a different direction, signing cornerback Tariq Woolen in free agency. With them set at cornerback, Jackson has been sitting on the open market, but it appears the Dallas Cowboys have interest. According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, the Cowboys are bringing in Jackson for a visit. And if things get across the finish line and he's offered a deal, the Eagles wouldn't lose any sleep.

Former Eagles CB Adoree’ Jackson Will Be Hosted by the Cowboys

Jackson was with the Eagles in the 2025 season, where he appeared in 14 games (10 starts). In those outings, he had 55 total tackles, 11 pass deflections, and one interception. Regardless, he was the weak link at cornerback for Philadelphia, and teams consistently looked in his direction.

On Pro Football Focus, he had a 54.6 overall grade (89th among 114 graded CBs), 54.1 coverage grade (90th among 114 graded CBs), and a 54.4 run-defense grade (80th among 114 graded CBs). Jackson had an 89.3 passer rating allowed, while giving up 11.7 yards per reception. In addition to those numbers, the USC product allowed 47 catches (74 targets) for 552 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Opposing offenses avoided throwing in the direction of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, putting Jackson in the limelight that much more. His production didn't meet the Eagles' standards, so much so that they didn't attempt to bring him back. So if he were to join the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles wouldn't have a problem with that.

They had him in the building for a year, so they know his weaknesses. He would also be going to a Cowboys secondary that struggled to stop the pass in 2025. Dallas was 32nd in the NFL in pass defense (251.5) last season, and the idea of Jackson joining that bunch has to have the Eagles perking up.

There's a reason the Eagles decided not to retain Jackson. They allowed him to answer the call, but he didn't. So if he decides to join Dallas, there won't be anyone in Philadelphia complaining.
