The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl champs. The Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, securing their second title in team history.

The defense was the key to securing this victory and pressured Patrick Mahomes consistently throughout the game. Philly sacked Mahomes six times in the win and defensive tackle Milton Williams played a massive role.

The 25-year-old finished with four tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. According to PFF, Williams had an 89.6 overall grade. He was all over the field and his performance in the Super Bowl paved the way for a monster payday this offseason.

The Louisiana Tech product is slated to become a free agent and will be seeking a big extension after this stellar outing.

This season was the best of Williams' career by far. During the regular season, he posted 24 total tackles, seven TFLs, and a career-best five sacks. He had a 70.1 overall grade (31st among 219 eligible defenders) and a 90.4 pass-rush grade (2nd among 219 eligible defenders) per PFF.

The Eagles enter the offseason with $18 million in cap space but could create more space with some cuts, trades, and contract restructures.

Williams is hitting the open market at the perfect time and looks to cash in. His agent Martin Fischman will be speaking with Howie Roseman and company shortly about an extension. He has emerged as a consistent player in the interior next to Jalen Carter.

This defensive line was the driving force to this victory and Philadelphia should do their best to keep it intact. With Williams and Josh Sweat hitting free agency, it'll be hard to keep both guys around.

That likely won't be the case but after Williams' Super Bowl showcase, it'll be hard for Philadelphia to let him walk.
