Eagles Take Chance on 2023 Draft Bust With Surprise Signing to Begin Week 8
By Jovan Alford
The Philadelphia Eagles are installing their game plan for Sunday’s road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals as they look to win their third consecutive game. However, the Eagles have made a few notable roster moves over the past 24 hours.
According to Zach Berman of PHLY, Philadelphia added former Cleveland Browns nose tackle Siaki Ika to the practice squad. In addition to Ika, the Eagles re-signed veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell to the taxi squad after they released him on Tuesday.

The Eagles also signed veteran offensive lineman Jack Driscoll to the active from the practice squad, who is taking Campbell's spot on the 53-man roster.
The Browns released Ika last week after placing him on the practice squad in September. After a quiet preseason, the second-year defensive lineman did not make Cleveland’s 53-man roster in August.
The former Baylor defensive lineman only played in four games as a rookie in 2023. He didn’t do much in those contests, playing 35 percent of defensive snaps.
The Browns had a lot of hope for Ika after drafting him with the 98th overall pick, but he couldn’t stand out among the rest of the talent they had on the defensive line. In college, Ika spent time at LSU and Baylor. Between the two schools, the young defender played 40 games (23 starts).
After struggling to live up to his third-round status in Cleveland, Ika will get to show the Eagles that he deserves to stick on the practice squad and be depended on if called upon.
