The Philadelphia Eagles' annual organized team activities (OTAs) will finally wrap up on Thursday. It's been a busy last few weeks for the defending Super Bowl Champions, who have a better sense of their 2025 roster now that OTAs gave the Eagles coaching staff their first real glimpse at the franchise's offseason additions.
There's a good chance that head coach Nick Sirianni already has a good idea of who will be cracking the 53-man roster, but that doesn't mean there isn't time to add more new faces. In fact, the Eagles just signed another wide receiver right before the last OTA practice.
Eagles Sign UDFA WR Ife Adeyi Before Last Day of OTAs
On Wednesday, NFL Trade Rumors' Jonathan Comeaux reported that the Eagles have signed undrafted rookie WR Ife Adeyi as OTAs wind down. The former Sam Houston State product will head to the City of Brotherly Love after trying out for the rival Washington Commanders last month.
Adeyi might be flying under the radar this offseason due to his lack of an invitation to this year's NFL scouting combine. Having said that, the rookie wideout's results from Sam Houston State's pro day would've ranked high among his peers who did attend the combine.
Adeyi is a versatile playmaker who did a bit of everything during his collegiate career. In the last two seasons with the Bearkats, he caught 37 balls for 345 receiving yards while converting nine carries into 76 rushing yards, all while scoring a pair of touchdowns along the way. He also averaged 6.3 yards on 10 punt returns, potentially setting him up for a special teams role in Philadelphia.
Although A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Jahan Dotson are the Eagles' top three wideouts without a doubt, the pecking order beyond the trio is malleable. If Adeyi can impress Sirianni's staff throughout minicamp and training camp, he has a realistic shot at opening the 2025 campaign in one of the WR4-6 roles.
In other words, Eagles fans will want to keep an eye on the rookie speedster as he looks to capitalize on his first taste of the NFL experience.
