The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. The February 9 showdown will provide the Eagles with an opportunity to take care of unfinished business and exact revenge on the Chiefs.

With two weeks between the championship weekend and the Super Bowl, the preparation for the game is a little different for the Eagles. Since Philadelphia didn't get the first-round bye in the playoffs, they haven't had extra rest since their bye in Week 5.

The additional week of rest is an excellent chance for the Eagles to get healthy before the Super Bowl. On Wednesday, we received the first injury report by the Eagles, giving the latest on the players with injury concerns.

Eagles News: Philadelphia Releases First Injury Report on Wednesday

It is important to note that this injury report is an estimation since the Eagles didn't actually practice on Wednesday. If they did, however, Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, Landon Dickerson, Kenny Gainwell, Dallas Goedert, Cam Jurgens, Moro Ojomo, DeVonta Smith, and Brett Toth wouldn't have practiced, per Eagles insider Jeff McLane.

Barkley and Brown had rest designations and Eagles fans shouldn't worry about their availability going forward. Dickerson had exited the Commanders game with a left knee injury. Even though he is expected to play, his DNP designation does raise the concern level. Cam Jurgens, who played through a back injury in the NFC title game, is the other starter with a major injury concern.

It's worth noting that quarterback Jalen Hurts, who banged up his knee ahead of the NFC Championship, had no designation on Wednesday.

We will certainly hear more about the status of the Jurgens and Dickerson in the upcoming days, as well as the latest on Dallas Goedert and DeVonta Smith. For now, Eagles fans should sit back and enjoy the stress-free week.
