Philadelphia Eagles’ rookie minicamp is expected to start on Friday, giving head coach Nick Sirianni and the rest of the coaching staff a first look at the new rookie class, undrafted free agents, and invite/tryout players, who are trying to make their way on the 90-man roster.

On Thursday, it was revealed BYU wide receiver Darius Lassiter signed a UDFA deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars instead of trying out with the Eagles.

That said, with Lassiter on his way to Florida, the Eagles are bringing in another wide receiver, who will be on the 90-man roster. On Wednesday, the University of Washington announced that wide receiver Giles Jackson is signing with the Eagles.

The 5-foot-8 wide receiver began his college football career with the Michigan Wolverines, where he spent two seasons. During those two years in Ann Arbor, Jackson had 24 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown.

After the 2020 season, Jackson transferred to the University of Washington, where he played the last four years.

The former four-star prospect didn’t make much noise in the first three years with the Huskies, but took off this past season under new head coach Jedd Fisch. Jackson had 85 receptions for 853 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

The former Washington Huskies receiver has an uphill climb to win a spot on the 53-man roster as the Eagles already have A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Ainias Smith, and Johnny Wilson Jr.

However, the 5-foot-8 receiver has played special teams in college, handling kickoff and punt return duties, which could help him win a job this summer. The Eagles signed Avery Williams to a one-year deal, who could serve in that role, too.
