The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-2 on the season and have a big NFC East showdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. All the attention is on this game and the 2024 season.

While that is the main focus, looking down the line to the 2025 season has already begun. Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox wrote an article naming the Top 50 pending free agents. One of the players on the list is EDGE Khalil Mack.

Mack is set to touch the open market in March, and the Eagles are listed as a potential landing spot.

Philadelphia could lose both Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham in the 2025 free agency. They also signed Bryce Huff this past offseason, but it hasn't worked out thus far.

That's why Mack makes sense. The former University at Buffalo standout is going to turn 34 years old in February but is still an effective player for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. Mack leads all Chargers EDGE rushers in total snaps this season (354) and logs a 91.8 overall PFF grade and 82.4 pass-rush grade per PFF.

Mack has compiled 29 total pressures, 21 QB hurries, and five sacks in 2024.

The eight-time Pro Bowler will likely look to sign with a Super Bowl contender and Philadelphia fits the bill. Sweat is the only EDGE rusher on the Eagles with more than 2.5 sacks but there is a possibility that he won't be there.

Meanwhile, Huff only has 1.5 sacks and 11 pressures in 2024. Championship contenders have quality pass rushers and Mack could provide that. A one-year deal makes sense for both sides and could come to fruition next March.
