The Philadelphia Eagles have one more stop to make on their preseason journey before they attempt to repeat as Super Bowl Champions next season. After playing to a 1-1 record through their first two exhibition outings, the Eagles will close out the preseason on the road against the New York Jets on Friday, giving everyone one final chance to impress head coach Nick Sirianni.
Andrew Mukuba was limping after a 1v1 rep. Has since been talking to trainers and grabbing at his left hamstring. Did another rep but is now walking off the field with a trainer

As the Eagles prepare to take on the Jets, fans were dealt some concerning news during Tuesday's practice. 94 WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks is reporting that rookie safety Andrew Mukuba "was limping after a 1v1 rep" and "grabbing his left hamstring" as he talked to the team's medical staff.
Shorr-Parks added that Mukuba attempted to return to practice; however, he ended up "walking off the field with a trainer" shortly after that.
Rookie Eagles S Andrew Mukuba Leaves Tuesday's Practice with Hamstring Injury
Injuries to key players are always unfortunate, regardless of how much time ends up being missed. Mukuba has been one of the Eagles' standout performers to begin the preseason, and now he's in jeopardy of missing time where he could be proving himself to Sirianni & Co., and solidifying his role in the team's secondary.
Drafted 64th overall out of Texas in April, Eagles fans have been expecting big things from Mukuba for quite some time. The Harare, Zimbabwe native was a standout ballhawk during his time with the Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns, racking up 131 solo tackles, 23 defended passes, six interceptions (including an SEC-leading 5 in 2024), and two fumble recoveries. He even earned third-team All-ACC and All-SEC honors in 2021 and 2024, respectively.
Even though he has plenty of potential, Mukuba's upside won't matter much if injuries keep holding him off the gridiron. He already missed some time this summer with a shoulder injury after colliding with wideout Danny Gray during a July practice, and the last thing Philadelphia wants is for his hamstring issue to become a new nuisance.
Hopefully, Mukuba's injury is a minor situation, and he can pick up from where he left off soon. He played extremely well in the Eagles' 22-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns over the weekend, allowing only an 18-yard reception on three targets while also walking away with an interception. His performance was good enough to finish with team-high Pro Football Focus grades regarding coverage (94.2) and overall defense (95.7).
Mukuba is the latest name to hit the sidelines from the Eagles' injury-riddled secondary. DBs Lewis Cine, A.J. Woods, Tariq Castro-Fields, and Brandon Johnson are all banged up at the moment, and the last thing Philadelphia needs is to lose even more pass disruptors to injury.
For now, Eagles fans will continue to send nothing but positivity to Mukuba, hoping that he can return soon to capitalize on the hype surrounding his rookie campaign.
