It is very difficult to find any legitimate concerns when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles' 2025 roster. The franchise remains stacked as the obvious NFC favorites. However, if you're searching for concerns, the secondary and loss of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore can be pointed to as the biggest concerns. Moore left the franchise to join the New Orleans Saints as the head coach of one of the league's worst rosters.

Moore is an extremely talented play caller, but simply lacks the needed pieces to put together any type of run in the NFC South. All three of the Saints' division rivals have far more reason to believe they are capable of being playoff contenders. The only thing New Orleans is going to be playing for this season is a potential top-three selection in next year's draft.

Something that might be hitting home for the former Philly OC after the Saints announced Spencer Rattler as the starting quarterback on Tuesday. When Derek Carr was injured in the second half of the 2024 season, Rattler was given a chance to start. Somehow, the poor performance that the quarterback displayed last year wasn't enough to convince New Orleans to turn the page.

Former Eagles OC in Awful Position After Saints QB Announcement

The Saints' official X account announced the news of the former Philly OC's decision to move forward with Rattler. It is a bit of a surprise, with many around the league believing rookie Tyler Shough was the favorite heading into the preseason.

Regardless, it is as bad a quarterback room as any in the league. There isn't a viable argument to be made that there is anyone worse, even with Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson in Indianapolis looking more desirable.

For Moore, this is a stark reminder of the job the head coach signed up for and perhaps a sign that the grass isn't always greener. It wouldn't be shocking to see the former Eagles coach make a return to the franchise at the conclusion of the 2025 season.

New Orleans has complete disaster written all over it, and unfortunately for Moore, the coach has signed up to be at the helm. While the Eagles have all the needed pieces to run an elite 2025 offense, it wouldn't be the worst idea to keep an eye on the situation in hopes of finding a reunion when things inevitably go sideways.
