The Philadelphia Eagles are 10-2 on the season and are looking like Super Bowl contenders as we approach the tail end of the regular season.

Philadelphia has won eight games in a row, which is the second-longest active win streak in the NFL. The Eagles have a contest against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14 and look to keep the positive momentum going.

While that is the main attention of members of the Eagles organization, the outlook for the 2025 offseason has begun.

Bleacher Report dropped an article discussing potential free-agent targets for all 32 teams in the league. In this piece, they suggested that the Carolina Panthers sign linebacker Zach Baun.

That is something that Eagles fans won't want to see as Baun has been one of their best defenders this season. He is currently fourth in the NFL in total tackles (118) and tied for second in forced fumbles (4). Baun has also snagged an interception.

The Wisconsin product is third among all eligible linebackers in overall grade (89.6) and first in coverage grade (91.5) per PFF.

The 27-year-old came over to Philadelphia on a one-year, $3.5 million, which was the biggest bargain of the offseason. To put it in perspective, the Eagles signed linebacker Devin White this offseason to a one-year, $4 million deal and he didn't play one regular season game for the team. He was eventually released on Oct. 8.

Philadelphia would be smart to extend Baun before he hits the open market in March. If not, they risk losing him this offseason and the Carolina Panthers may be a landing spot for the star defender.
