Eagles Land Pro Bowl WR in Latest Offseason Prediction
The Philadelphia Eagles have a lot of things in front of them as the regular season winds down. The Eagles have an NFC East battle against the Dallas Cowboys taking place on Sunday.
They are looking to get back into the win column after their ten-game win streak was halted last week by the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles are 12-3 on the season and are currently the second seed in the conference. They are one of the top teams in the league and have a chance to bring home the Lombardi Trophy. That is the sole focus of this team right now but the speculation around the 2025 offseason hasn't stopped.
Bleacher Report's Scouting Department dropped an article talking about potential moves teams will make in free agency. In that piece, they suggested that the Eagles sign WR Keenan Allen.
They wrote, "Philadelphia has been searching for a third wide receiver to pair with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith for a couple of years now and hasn't had any luck finding a good one. So, the front office could explore the free-agent market for a veteran receiver who is looking to make one final push to get a Lombardi Trophy rather than cashing in and stockpiling targets."
That makes a ton of sense and is true. In August, the Eagles made a move to land WR Jahan Dotson, but he's been nonexistent this season. Dotson has logged 12 catches for 122 yards on the season.
That's not good enough and the Eagles could use another WR behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith.
Allen would be the perfect addition to an already potent offense. The Cal product will be 33 years old by the time the 2025 season kicks off, but he can still be an effective playmaker.
Allen runs crisp and precise routes and would dominate in the slot for the Eagles. In his career, he's notched 971 receptions for 11,249 receiving yards and 66 touchdowns. He's gone over 1,000 yards six times and been named a Pro Bowler on six different occasions.
This season for the Chicago Bears, the 2013 third-round pick has 67 grabs for 719 yards and seven touchdowns. He would be worth a one-year flier for the Birds to take this offense to another level in 2025.
