The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for one of their toughest games this season. They will go on the road to play Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. Sunday’s matchup will be a great test for both teams, who have Super Bowl aspirations.

The Eagles' offense has been on a roll lately, scoring 32.3 points per game over the last few weeks. Philadelphia dropped 37 points last week in primetime against the Los Angeles Rams without star wideout DeVonta Smith, who was out with a hamstring injury.

Philadelphia hopes to have the former first-round pick back on the field for this pivotal matchup against a suspect Baltimore pass defense (277.7 yards allowed – second-most in the NFL).

According to Zach Berman of PHLY, Smith was back at practice for the second consecutive day on Friday. If you are an Eagles fan that’s great news as Philly needs Smith on the field, playing opposite of A.J. Brown.

The Eagles got by the Rams last week, thanks to a historic performance from star running back Saquon Barkley, who had 302 yards of total offense and two touchdowns. Brown added six receptions (seven targets) for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Philadelphia cannot hope for a similar outcome against a well-coached Ravens squad. The last time we saw Smith on the field was in Week 11 against the Washington Commanders. He had four receptions (six targets) for 29 yards.

With Smith on the field, the Ravens will have to respect him, and Brown and cannot think about using bracket coverage. The Eagles hope that Smith’s hamstring issue is behind him and will be back on the field on Sunday.
