The Philadelphia Eagles head into Week 14 with a 10-2 record. This squad has strung along an eight-game win streak and will look to extend it on Sunday when they host the Carolina Panthers.

Although it looks like DeVonta Smith will return to action against the Panthers, tight end Dallas Goedert is ruled out with a knee injury. With an opening at tight end, the Eagles added reinforcements on Saturday morning.

Eagles News: E.J. Jenkins Was Added to the Active Roster

Per EnterSports Management, the Eagles are signing tight end E.J. Jenkins to the active roster. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network added that Jenkins was out of elevations from the practice squad after playing in three games this season.

The Eagles also signed tight end C.J. Uzomah to the active roster earlier this week, They'll have a trio of Grant Calcaterra, Jenkins, and Uzomah at their disposal.

Goedert injured his knee during the fourth quarter of the Week 13 tilt against the Baltimore Ravens. He's listed a week-to-week but the Eagles will have to make things work without him for the time being.

Jenkins has logged 16 total snaps in 2024 and hasn't recorded a single stat. The same goes for Uzomah, who played in 39 total snaps, including a season-high 20 snaps last week.

Calcaterra will take a fair share of plays on Sunday. The 26-year-old leads Eagles tight ends in total snaps (498), notching 17 receptions for 216 yards.

Thankfully for the Eagles' sake, their offense will run through Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and the aforementioned Smith.

The Eagles opened up as the biggest favorites of the week. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Philadelphia is a 13.5-point favorite against the Panthers.
