The Philadelphia Eagles have an NFC clash against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Eagles have a 10-2 record and are fighting with the Detroit Lions for the top seed in the NFC.

This team has found different ways to win even with key contributors sidelined with injuries. Receiver DeVonta Smith is one of the offensive weapons who has missed time this season but Friday he gave an encouraging update on his gameday status.

Eagles News: DeVonta Smith Says He’ll Be On the Field in Week 14

When talking to reporters, Smith was asked if he'll be playing on Sunday. He responded with, "Count me in."

Smith hurt his hamstring in the Week 11 Thursday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders, and that forced him to miss the past two matchups. Earlier this season, the Alabama product also missed a game due to a concussion.

Even though Smith hasn't suited up in three games in 2024, Philadelphia went 2-1 in those matchups.

Getting the 26-year-old back on the field will open things up in the passing game, especially with Dallas Goedert not expected to play. This season, Smith has compiled 41 receptions for 516 yards and four touchdowns.

He will have a chance to be productive on Sunday, as the Panthers are 25th in the NFL in pass defense (225.3).

Smith was listed as a full participant for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday practices, indicating his return is near. He also revealed that he was pushing to play against the Baltimore Ravens last week but the coaching staff decided to hold him out.

That won't be the case on Sunday, and Eagle fans will see No. 6 on the gridiron.
