The Philadelphia Eagles have built a juggernaut of a roster and their performance leading up to and in Super Bowl LIX proved just that, as they manhandled Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs en route to their second championship since 2018.
One of the major reasons why Philadelphia has enjoyed this level of success as of late can be directly tied to their performance in the NFL Draft. The Eagles have hit on a number of their top draft picks over the last decade, with many of the most recent selections already paying major dividends.
Whenever you have that type of sustained success in an area as important as the draft, opposing franchises are going to try and poach your talent and that is exactly what happened to Philadelphia this week as senior director of college scouting Anthony Patch has agreed to leave the organization in order to take a larger role with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Anthony Patch is Leaving Eagles Front Office to Join the Raiders
Given the fact that Patch had been with the Eagles organization going back to 2002, his departure is something that will undoubtedly be felt within the front office. It is extremely rare in this day and age to have that level of stability at a position as important as the one held by Patch. The hope, however, has to be that the procedures and protocols that Patch put in place over the course of his time with the franchise will continue to be used as part of the equation for success in the draft.
It remains to be seen who will step into this role now that Patch has moved on to Las Vegas but, whoever it is, they will have plenty of eyes on them expecting for their performance to meet, if not exceed, the level of analysis that helped make the Eagles one of the best the NFL has to offer.
