Eagles Bring Back Failed Free-Agent Signing Ahead of Week 6 Game
Week 6 provides the Philadelphia Eagles with the first opportunity to get on a positive track following the bye week.
They are hosting the Cleveland Browns as they have opened up as massive favorites. The Philadelphia Eagles are expecting starters A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson back on the field.
In addition to this, the Eagles just brought back a veteran offensive player who was let go.
Eagles News: Eagles Bring back C.J. Uzomah
According to Zach Berman, Philadelphia brought back tight end C.J. Uzomah to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, they release Cade Sterns.
Uzomah originally signed with the Eagles back in April and spent time with the team during training camp. He was eventually released in August but now the Eagles want to bring him back. The 31-year-old was excited to sign with Philadelphia and expressed that feeling back in April.
"I really wanted to come to a place, where in my heart, I have a feeling that we have a great chance to win a Super Bowl this year. It's the culture, the fans, and everything about this team and organization that I have observed as a bystander over the years."
- CJ Uzomah
Throughout his career, Uzomah has recorded 192 catches for 1,881 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Philadelphia already has Dallas Goedert, Jack Stoll, and Grant Calcaterra on the active roster. Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. is currently on injured reserve, and Uzomah gives them another quality backup at tight end.
