Eagles Get Big Dallas Goedert Injury Update at Friday's Practice
The Philadelphia Eagles possess a few key injuries heading into their NFC Championship showdown against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Center Cam Jurgens (Back) and tight end Dallas Goedert(Ankle) missed both Wednesday and Thursday with injuries. Luckily, it seems like both players have the chance to be available on Sunday afternoon.
According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, both Jurgens and Goedert were seen warming up during Friday's practice, which is a good indicator that they may play Sunday.
Dallas Goedert on Track to Play on Sunday
Although the final injury report has yet to be released, at the very least, Goedert will be a limited participant in Friday's practice. That's a huge relief for the Eagles as Goedert has been a nice weapon for Jalen Hurts this playoff run.
In the Wild Card Round, Goedert recorded four catches for 47 yards and one touchdown. His touchdown reception in that game was a memorable one, as he ran through and stiff-armed the same player twice to score.
In the Divisional Round, Goedert recorded four catches for 56 yards. Although he went without a score, his four catches were tied for the most on the team, making it the second week in a row. Goedert was a leading receiver. Goedert's productivity in the playoffs can be credited to being Hurts' security blanket.
While the Commanders and Eagles played each other twice this season, Goedert was only healthy for their first meeting. In that game, Goedert had five catches for 61 yards. If Goedert is indeed active Sunday, expect him to continue being a big factor in Philadelphia's game plan.
Note: Later on Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles released their final injury report and listed Dallas Goedert as a full participant.
