Dallas Goedert Reveals Surprise Zach Ertz Info Before Eagles Return
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders square off in an NFC East showdown on Thursday Night Football. The winner of this matchup moves into first place in the division.
The Commanders took the league by storm this season, led by rookie sensation Jayden Daniels. They sit at 7-3 and are playing terrific football. They've done a great job adding veterans to this team that provides much-needed leadership.
One of those guys is tight end Zach Ertz, who will be making his first return to Philadelphia since being traded away in 2021. Tight end Dallas Goedert discussed Ertz's return to the city of Brotherly Love and made a surprising admission.
Eagles News: Dallas Goedert Talks About His Relationship With Zach Ertz
Goedert and Ertz were teammates for four seasons together and had a relationship where they pushed each other. Despite that bond, Goedert said that the two don't talk much.
"We communicate a little bit -- not too much. We do watch each other's tape. If someone has a big injury or something like that, we reach out. No, but it's just normal tight end stuff."

Ertz spent time in Arizona and now Washington over the past couple of seasons. He may have been focused on his new destinations but the former teammates don't talk often.
One of the reasons the Eagles were willing to move on from Ertz was the emergence of Goedert. Over the past four seasons without Ertz, the South Dakota State product has logged 196 receptions for 2,450 yards and 11 total touchdowns.
Ertz will always be loved by the Eagles faithful but on Thursday night, he's the enemy and the Birds are looking to take him down.
