The Philadelphia Eagles will be without Dallas Goedert in Sunday's Super Bowl rematch, with the starting tight end already being ruled out due to a knee injury. When you look at the other side and realize the Chiefs are going to be without Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Jalen Royals, Goedert's absence cuts into the advantage Philly had in terms of offensive firepower.

However, there's already signs Goedert may not be out of action for long. NBC Philly's John Clark posted a video of the Eagles arriving in KC, and the stud tight end can be seen walking in with his teammates to the hotel.

Traveling with the team suggests that the injury isn't going to keep the veteran pass catcher sidelined beyond this week. If there was a high level of concern, it seems likely that Goedert would've been held back and stayed in Philly to continue rehabbing.

Judging from the fact that Goedert is currently with the team, there should be a sense of belief he is going to return to the lineup in Week 3.

Goedert's injury is a knee sprain that we haven't been given a lot of detail on, with it popping up after the season-opening win over the Dallas Cowboys. Philly has made the right decision here being extremely cautious and giving the tight end a week off. There is no reason to push anyone back into the starting lineup this early into the regular season.

Howie Roseman has also built the Eagles' offense to withstand absences by adding A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley around the likes of Goedert and Devonta Smith. Any given game, Philly may have a new primary contributor, or Jalen Hurts can take over a game with his legs while playing distributor. This provides a sense of confidence Nick Sirianni and co. will be fine without Goedert at Arrowhead, even though the tight end logged a team-high seven targets in Week 1.

Philly's schedule doesn't get any easier after going on the road to face the Chiefs in Week 2, with a pair of defending division champs in the Los Angeles Rams (Week 3) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 4) on tap next. A matchup against the elite Denver Broncos defense looms in Week 5 as well, making it imperative that Goedert gets back to full strength. Hopefully his absence on Sunday will go a long way toward just that.
