The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round matchup on Sunday. After a dominant win over the Packers last week, Eagles fans are hoping for more of the same under winter conditions at Lincoln Financial Field.

In the NFL, however, success comes with a price. After the Eagles' impressive regular season, the rest of the league already began their attempts to poach Philadelphia's coaching staff. Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is one of the most sought-after head coaching candidates on the market. In fact, after completing HC interviews with the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars, Moore has an interview set up with the New Orleans Saints on Saturday, per Eagles insider Jeff McLane.

Eagles News: OC Kellen Moore Has Multiple Suitors

Assistant coaches having interviews for head coaching vacancies during the playoffs is common practice. Plenty of teams are dealing with a similar situation, including the Eagles' biggest rival in the NFC, the Detroit Lions, with defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson.

At the same time, Eagles fans have every right to be concerned about this situation being a potential distraction to the team. Moore holding multiple head coaching interviews in a span of a few days leading up to the crucial Rams game certainly raises eyebrows.

However, this is the reality of the NFL. The Eagles can't do anything to prevent their coordinators from taking head coaching interviews during the playoffs. One can argue that this process is perhaps unfair to successful teams but that is beside the point.

Moore was hired as the offensive coordinator in the 2024 offseason after having the same role with the Chargers the prior season. Under his leadership, the Eagles had the seventh-best offensive unit in the league in terms of points (27.2).
