The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for their divisional-round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Another victory at Lincoln Financial Field will likely set up a huge matchup against the NFC North winners, the Detroit Lions.

The Eagles are already the overwhelming favorites against the Rams. On FanDuel Sportsbook, they are 6.5-point favorites, and the latest weather report for Sunday only adds to Philadelphia's advantage.

Weather Conditions Will Favor the Eagles on Sunday

Forecasters are expecting the temperatures to drop over the weekend. Starting Saturday night, rain is expected around the Philadelphia area. The weather experts are watching the potential of a coastal low forming on Sunday, bringing in about an inch of snow in time for the Eagles game, per Fox 29 Philadelphia.

There is still some time before Sunday afternoon, so the models could change. However, if the current forecast is accurate, it should favor the Eagles in a big way.

Regardless of the snow, the cold temperatures and wind gusts will make throwing the ball significantly more challenging. The Eagles will rely on Saquon Barkley even more than usual. Philadelphia had one of the most dynamic rushing offenses in the league this season and Barkley was the most explosive running back in the league.

The Rams have a middle-of-the-pack run defense per Pro Football Focus and will have their hands full against the combination of Eagles offensive line and Barkley. On the other hand,

On the other hand, the Rams aren't the most dangerous team running the ball. Even though Kyren Williams had a very productive season, LA averaged 3.9 yards per carry during the season, the second-worst mark in the league. They depend heavily on their passing attack with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp but that may be more of a challenge in the potentially snowy conditions at Lincoln Financial Field.
