2. Bryce Huff, DE

After Haason Reddick left town in the offseason, the Eagles replaced him by signing Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51.1 million contract. Expectations were high for the veteran pass rusher after recording a career-high 10.0 sacks in 17 games with the New York Jets in 2023 after only having 7.5 in the three previous seasons.

Unfortunately, Huff hasn't even come close to meeting expectations this year.

Through his first eight games (5 starts) with the Eagles, the 26-year-older veteran has only registered three solo tackles and 1.5 sacks. He's Pro Football Focus' No. 69-graded exterior defender in terms of pass rushing (59.1) and overall defense (61.3), further emphasizing his underwhelming performance.

Huff's struggles are correlating with diminishing playing time, proven by his playing a season-low six defensive snaps in Week 9. His outlook is even worse now that the Eagles have brought back fellow DE Tarron Jackson to the practice squad. The former Coastal Carolina defender began his NFL career with Philadelphia as a 2021 sixth-round pick.

Due to the nature of his contract, the Eagles will be heavily penalized if they try to get rid of Huff before June 1. Even then, the franchise will only save $1.17 million if they trade him after that date. Still, a divorce might be the path Philadelphia chooses to go down if Huff can't get his play back on track.
