5. Eli Ricks

Fans were disappointed to see Kelee Ringo active over Eli Ricks in Week 1, but I don’t expect Ricks to have overtaken Ringo in this short week.

There is a better chance we see Ricks in uniform on Thursday — Blankenship’s injury could lead to another cornerback dressing — but I still don’t think it happens yet.

With Edmunds getting more run at safety, we’ll probably want to suit up someone who can fill the void he leaves on special teams, and I’m not sold on Ricks being the Eagles’ answer there. Mario Goodrich got more run on specials than Ricks did in the two preseason games that they both suited up for.

The future is bright for Ricks, but I think we’re still at least a couple weeks away from seeing the undrafted rookie wearing pads on gameday.
