Is Trea Turner back? After last weekend, it certainly looks like it.

Turner returned to Philadelphia at rock bottom on Friday, mired in an 0-for-12 funk and getting dropped to eighth in the batting order. But thanks to the support of Phillies fans and the Royals’ terrible pitching, Turner found his groove again. He went 4-for-12 during the three-game set, clubbing 2 doubles and a homer while driving in 5 runs.

The resurgent shortstop appears poised to continue his heavy hitting on Monday against the Nationals, who feature one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. Among the 15 National League teams, Washington ranks bottom 3 in categories such as ERA, hits, home runs, walks and strikeouts, to name a few.

Trea Turner Prop Bet: OVER 1.5 Total Bases

That bodes well for Turner, who was moved up to sixth in the lineup on Sunday as a reward for his improved hitting. The former batting champ gets to take aim at Trevor Williams to start, who’s been pretty atrocious this year with a 4.72 ERA, a 5.55 FIP and a 1.49 WHIP while allowing opponents to bat .287/.342/.505 against him. For reference, the average hitter is essentially performing like Jose Ramirez or Marcus Semien against him.

Williams’ numbers are trending in the wrong direction, too. Since the beginning of June, he’s surrendered 70 hits (including 12 home runs) in 53 2/3 innings, yielding a 5.53 ERA and a 5.95 FIP. Batters are slashing .314/.373/.538 against him during that stretch, making him a great pitcher to target for Phillies prop bets tonight.

Looking at Turner’s prop markets, we love the Over on his total bases prop. As of this writing, you can get over 1.5 total bases for Turner at -104 odds on Caesars Sportsbook.

Considering that Turner has cashed the Over in two straight games and has 9 total bases in his last three, those odds are pretty good value. Recent hot streak aside, Turner is averaging 1.57 total bases per game this season.

It’s worth noting that Turner has had more success at home this year as well, slugging .407 there (1.65 total bases per game) compared to .355 on the road (1.51 total bases per game).

With Turner at home against a struggling pitcher, this is a prime spot to cash in on one of his prop bets tonight.
