It felt great to see the Philadelphia Eagles back in action against The Jets. There was a ton of optimism and praise delivered to the team before they took their first snap, and the starting squad’s performances generated even more buzz during their respective runs.

The starters, as well as new additions Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean, may have gotten a lot of the hype, but there were strong performances on both sides of the ball that inspired hope in the roster’s depth.

Football is a game of attrition, with no team going unscathed throughout a season, so having great depth is just as important as top-end talent. Nearly every team in the league has a key contributor that started the season buried on the depth chart or on the practice squad, and the Eagles are no exception, as Travis Fulgham showed in 2020.

That’s why the preseason is so important; the games may not count in the win-loss column, but the experience that players get in these games is incredibly valuable.

These are the three Philadelphia Eagles to keep an eye on against the Browns.

Odds are fans won’t see the starting unit again until the season kicks off on the 11th of September, but there will be plenty of chances to see a number of hungry players looking to make a name for themselves and carve out a role on the 53-man roster. A few young Eagles are ahead of the curve, as they really stood out against The Jets and should be getting your attention when the Birds kick off in Cleveland this Sunday.
