No. 2: Danny Green’s successor (and upgrade)

The Philadelphia 76ers have a clear need at small forward. While Matisse Thybulle could potentially fill that void, ideally, the Sixers will employ a better shooter for that role. Reggie Bullock provided exactly that role for the Dallas Mavericks last season, and he could do the very same in Philadelphia.

Last season, Bullock averaged 8.6 points while shooting 36% from three. By itself, that is not overly impressive. When you look at Bullock’s playoff performance, however, the narrative changes. Bullock increased his scoring average to 10.1 points per game and shot 39.7% on 7.9 attempts per game. All the while playing some of the best defense on the entire Mavericks roster.

A true 3&D wing, Reggie Bullock would slide in as the perfect starting small forward for Philadelphia in both the regular season and the playoffs. He could not only fill the void left by Danny Green but exceed it.

In addition to Bullock, the Philadelphia 76ers would receive young wing Josh Green. Drafted in 2020 just three spots ahead of Tyrese Maxey, Green has seen a slower start to his NBA career, but there was some promising development last season.

Green increased his shooting percentage from 45.2% to 50.8%, his three-point shooting from 16.0% to 35.9%, while doubling his attempts from deep. He is still a work in progress, but Josh Green is also a promising prospect at a premium position. His value may not be that of a first-round pick, but he’s a fantastic sweetener to a deal for Bullock.
